Guardians of the Galaxy: The New Epcot Attraction

Epcot Guardians of the Galaxy Attraction

Epcot is about to undergo major changes. Indeed, Disney World recently announced that the old “Universe of Energy” is soon to be replaced by the a brand new “The Guardians of the Galaxy” attraction. This is the first ever Marvel-themed attraction to come to Disney World Florida! Epcot will host our favorite Guardians of the Galaxy characters who will bring a whole new dimension of fun and games to the ageing park.

The brand new attraction will be an E-ticket attraction and is likely to feature ‘Groot’ and ‘Rocket’ as Disney revealed to the D23 Expo guests. The idea is to re-energize Epcot with some Disney “wow” factor, and what better way to inspire young and old generations with the funny and adventurous movie “The Guardians of the Galaxy”?

The many changes announced by Disney this year for its Orlando parks are taking a distinct ‘out-of-this-world’ path which will take guests on many space adventures, and Epcot is not being left behind! The reason to “The Guardians of the Galaxy” coming to Epcot is directly linked to Peter Quill (aka Star Lord in the movie) visiting Epcot when he was a child.

The current “Universe of Energy” attraction has already been closed since earlier this August and guests who are eager to meet ‘Groot’ are likely to have to wait a few years before the attraction opens to the public! In the meantime we will follow the advancements of this new attraction very closely in the future!

Launch Yourself Into Space with Epcot’s New Outer Space-Themed Restaurant

Epcot Space restaurant D23 Expo

Disney World recently announced that the famous theme park will undergo a bunch of upgrades as part of its 35th anniversary! Disney came up with a new visionary dining concept for guests, sending them out of this world for a dinner under the stars.
Epcot restaurants are famous for being completely original and immersing guests into different culinary worlds, but this one will literally send them into space! The new restaurant will be established next to the “Mission Space” attraction, a NASA-style simulator, which will re-open next summer.

Disney presented the space restaurant design during the D23 Expo this year, which showed guests dining in a space station floating above Earth. Disney sets the standards high using digital technology to make the illusion possible! Guests will even be able to interact with astronauts floating on the outside of the station.

Menu is yet to be established but one can only imagine the futuristic forms, colors and tastes the delicious space food will take! As for the name of this new space diner, it is yet to be announced!

If you’re traveling with kids, remember that your journey into space will be made easier if you rent a stroller from Magical Stroller Rentals as you will be able to go where you please with your family as you know your little ones will feel secure and comfortable in their stroller

New Disney Transportation Project Will Lift You Up!

Disney Skyliner

It has been made official that Disney is preparing for the construction of its new transportation project: Disney Skyliner!

This amazing new transportation will connect hotels and parks from Epcot International Gateway to Hollywood Studio via the Art of Animation, Pop Century and Caribbean Beach resorts. These flying gondolas will revolutionize the transportation systems at Disney World. Each gondola will be able to accommodate 10 passengers and will feature some of your favorite Disney characters! Passengers will be able to experience Disney from above, giving them a stunning view of the parks and attractions. Unlike the previous Skyway ride that used to link Magic Kingdom’s Fantasy Land to Tomorrowland and which closed in 1999 after a tragic accident, these brand new gondolas will be completely enclosed, therefore ensuring everyone stays inside while being transported in the air!

Disney World is hoping to set an example for the whole of the United States with this new mode of transport which could revolutionize transportation in American cities!

Another transportation system is also about to come to Disney World, and will surely contribute to making your holiday at Disney World a unique experience: Minnie Mouse themed vans! This new point-to-point service will take guests anywhere they would like to go around Disney World Resort in a classic styled Minnie Mouse decorated car!!

No date was set for the opening of either of these two new transportation systems yet, but both the projects are well on their way.

wedding rings and flowers

Getting hitch at Disney World might be a childhood princess dream, or to some it might seem like a completely immature ‘adult’ choice to make. Whatever your vision, there are in fact a few practicalities to getting married at Disney World worth thinking about.

#1 – The location! Most couples who are getting married come from different home towns, sometimes each located on the opposite side of the country, meaning that family would need plane tickets anyway. Orlando offers cheap flight deals all year round as it is a popular touristic destination and is easy to get to from anywhere!
Most cities are crowded making finding a wedding venue and places for your guests to stay expensive and very challenging! Orlando has a plethora of hotels to choose from, and most of them will offer a shuttle service to and from the Disney parks!
The climate is also something to consider! Orland has a warm and forgiving climate making the chances of your wedding day being sunny and warm incredibly high!

#2 – Entertainment! Having you wedding at Disney World also means that you guests will have plenty of opportunities to entertain themselves when you’re not available to them! That way you can spend time with different group of family and friends without anyone getting bored and resentful!

#3 – The Legendary Disney hospitality – It is a well-known fact that Disney knows hospitality and is a master at it! Disney’s service is impeccable, and they will take care of everything if you require so (catering, cake and flowers, photographers, wedding band etc.). They provide wedding planners free of charge and they are prepare to help you out all the way!

#4 – Price – Getting married at Disney doesn’t need to be the price of a small castle! Aside from getting married at the Magic Kingdom in front of the Cinderella Castle, Disney offers a very tasteful wedding venue called the Victorian Pavillion. Packages for this venue and a small guest list start just under $3,000!!

How to Experience Disney World on a Budget

Disney on a budget

You’re thinking about taking your family on a vacation to Disney World, but have a tight budget? Here are a few tips on how to stay within your budget limit and still have a great time!

#1 – Drive (your own car)! Yes, this might be a long trip and it might require a stop or two in a motel… But, it will certainly be cheaper than to buy a flight ticket for each member of your family, then having to rent a car to get to Disney World!! Plus, this is a chance for your kids (and you!) to see some of the beautiful North American scenery and a road trip is always exciting for kids.

#2 – Off-season is the right time to go! Don’t plan your holiday in the peak season, prices will be more expensive everywhere and Disney resorts will be crowded! Not only will this be a cheaper option, it will also be more enjoyable for you and your kids.

#3- Budget hotel – Disney has a few budget hotels on property! They all boast free transportation to the parks and have pools! If you are happy to sleep in a Disney overdosed decor for a few nights, then this is cheaper option for you and your family!

#4 – Camping? Yes, you can go camping at Disney World! Fort Wilderness is a great campsite for you and your kids! It has free water transportation to the park, and a pool with water slides! The starting price for this option is $53!

#5 – Outside Disney. You can also stay in a hotel outside of Disney park and save quite a lot of money! Makes sure the hotel you choose has a shuttle to and from the park so you don’t have to pay for parking there.

#6 – Bring your own water and snacks! This is very important and often overlooked! Continuously brings drinks for the family under the burning Florida sun can quickly become very expensive! Refill your bottles at your hotel and bring them to the park! Bring snacks for you and your kids and avoid spending too much on extra treats.

#7 – Rain jackets – Yes in also rains in Florida! If you want to stay dry and not spend a little fortune on rain ponchos ($10 a piece) at Disney, pack your own!

#8 – Pool day? In Downtown Disney, hotels offer free access to their swimming pools! You’ll also find that your kids might enjoy playing with Legos at the Lego store in Downtown Disney.

#9 – Focus! Don’t try to do everything at once! Only buy tickets for one park and make the most of it! One park is already so big, there won’t be any time for you or your kids to get bored! One park a day, is a good way to go!

#10 – Rent a stroller from Magical Stroller Rentals instead of Disney! Disney stroller rentals are more expensive: $15 for one day and you can’t take them back with you to your hotel at the end of your day (which is when you might need it most!!). With Magical Stroller Rentals Florida you can keep your stroller for the whole duration of your stay, and it is cheaper than Disney!!
